Weezer guitarist Brian Bell's side project, The Relationship, have revealed they will be releasing their new 7inch "Oh Allen" on April 8 via Burger Records, followed by a string of tour dates across the US. The band claim to have an album's worth of songs ready for their new set, which they will commit to tape soon.
In a press release Bell described the theme of The Relationship's forthcoming album as "youth—not just the energy and irrepressible drive that come from being young and playing rock ‘n’ roll guitar, but the romance and melancholy and tragedy-turned-triumph that happen when a band decides to make the music their way no matter what." The Relationship released their self-titled debut in 2010. You can listen to "Oh Allen" here, and the tour dates are after the jump.
