Kurt Baker, of the Kurt Baker Band, has a new single on Wicked Cool Records called "Warm in the Winter," out now. The song was co-written with longtime collaborator Wyatt Funderburk
"'Warm in the Winter' for me is kind of a classic Wyatt Funderburk / KB tune," Baker reflects. "We've been writing songs together for years now. It all started with the song 'Telephone Operator' which was recorded by my first band The Leftovers, and became a regional hit in places like San Diego, Biddeford, Maine and Kenosha, Wisconsin. That was back in 2009. Well, now it's 2025, and Wyatt and I are still working together after all these year," he says.
The song was written for Rock n Roll Club, but didn't fit the final version of the record so Baker held it until January, a power pop burst for the coldest time of year.
