Described as a progressive jazz fusion trio, Chicago, IL based Sons of Ra will release their debut full-length next year on Free Electric Sound, an instrumental subdivision of The Lasers Edge Group. The record will be titled Standard Deviation.
The lineup features drummer Michael Rataj (Arbogast, Mine Collapse), tenor saxophonist/bassist Keith Wakefield (Jan King & Medicine Ball), and guitarist Erik Oldman (Mare Crisium) and have released several EPs to date, including Tropic of Cancer in 2024.
