Relapse Records just announced the debut of duo De Mannen Broeders, featuring Colin H. van Eeckhout (Amenra) and Zeeuws Flemish folk musician Tonnie ‘broeder’ Dieleman. The record is to be titled Sober Maal, out on Oct. 11 on vinyl, CD, and digitally.

“As a creating artist, it’s these encounters that you pray for,” Eeckhout says in a statement from the label. “As soon as you meet someone like that, you know you have to do something together.”

Dieleman adds: “My work is all about death and sadness...For me, music started with my mother dying; my first album is about her death. That’s a strong connection with Colin, too, as he lost his father.” He has previously collaborated with Baby Dee and Bonnie Prince Billy.

SOBER MAAL TRACKLIST:

  1. Alle Roem is Uitgesloten
  2. Asemruumte
  3. Verteere Heel
  4. Van Licht Ontdaan
  5. Grafschrift
  6. Omer III
  7. Onze Lieve Vrouwe
  8. Ons Nu Voorbij
