Desert Mambas, a solo project from Bailey Moses (Foxx Bodies), has shared a cover of the theme to Showtime series The L Word, posted below, in advance of a short run of dates in southern California with Team Dresch.

A press release explains:

It all started as a silly bit in a bar when Moses joked with the folks at their label that they'd be making a cover of “The L Word Theme”. Less than a week later, Moses sent along demos, taking the bit into the realm of possibility, and of course the queer label Kill Rock Stars jumped at the chance to release this reenvisioned earworm originally by BETTY. The single release comes at the start of Pride Month for the perfectly gay and playful homage.
