Street Eaters' first new song in 3 years
Street Eaters' first new song in 3 years

Street Eaters just shared a new song, "The Point," with a video posted below.

The band, which originated as a two-piece of Megan March (drums/vocals) and John No (bass), expanded to a three-piece with Joan Toldeo (guitar). The new song is their first new studio recording since 2021, showcasing the expanded lineup.

The band describes the new song as follows:

Anchored by John No's sinewy bassline, Joan Toledo's earworm guitar hook, and Megan March's driving drumbeat and smoky vocals about movement, life changes, and the everpresent Bay Area traffic artery I-80, "The Point" is an introductory taste of Street Eaters' first entirely new studio recordings since 2021.

Speaking of 2021, read SPB's interview with the band here.

Well, writing about a band the second (or third) time is kind of the same thing. With Blood::Muscles::Bones, Street Eaters haven’t changed up their sound drastically or reworked their well-oiled machine. They’ve just written another bundle … Read more

Self Titled
Cut the Cord That…Records (2012)

There are a few formats I almost go out of my way to avoid, namely cassettes and digital EPs. However, I’ll make an exception for certain bands and Street Eaters are one of those. Street Eaters released their debut full-length Rusty Eyes and Hydrocarbons in 2011 and it still grips me today. This self-titled digi-EP did see a 12” pressing … Read more

For roughly fifteen years, Street Eaters have toured the DIY circuit as a duo. Their effect-driven wall of sound was so powerful you might not even notice that it was a bass/drum duo on first listen. Recently, they expanded their lineup, adding a live guitar player to the mix. It’s … Read more

One Question Interviews • November 27, 2013

John No (Street Eaters) SPB: How different is touring as a two-piece as compared to your previous projects? No: Touring as a two-piece has been really liberating for Street Eaters. Both of us have been in many bands with 3-6 members, and such combos of many volatile personalities can grow … Read more
