Los Angeles/Montreal trio American Lips is back with a new double a-side maxi-single, released on Friday and titled "Waste of Crime."
The three-piece consists of Sebastien Grainger (Death From Above 1979, Adrian Popovich (producer/ex-Tricky Woo), and Jessica Bruzzese. Together they play a mix of 1980s rock with punk influence, dubbed punky garage-wave.
The group formed in 2016, named after an Alice Donut song, and consequently released Kiss The Void in 2017 on Ancient Fashion Records, run by Popovich, who are also handlined the new single. A series of releases is slated for 2023.
