With a live set scheduled for this Friday, tomorrow, at Psycho in Las Vegas, Mutoid Man has decided its time to share news of their new lineup addition.

The band, also featuring Stephen Brodsky and Ben Koller, parted ways amicably with Nick Cageao in 2019. Today they've announced the addition of Jeff Matz (High On Fire) to the three-piece lineup.

Brodsky offers:

“Countless times we’ve asked ourselves ‘What would High On Fire do?’ while writing music over the years —  now we can go straight to the source! Getting to know Jeff has been a real treat, and his devotion to music is nothing short of astounding. We’re pumped for the next chapter of Mutoid Man now having Jeff on board with his unparalleled 4-stringed Thunderclapping fury!”

Mutoid Man last released War Moans in 2017 and is at work on a new album scheduled for release in 2022 with the new lineup. The album will release via Sargent House.

Based loosely on a grimoire written by Robert Bloch (the … Read more
