Dead Empires add vocalist, announce new album

New York state's Dead Empires have announced a new album, coming Feb. 23 and titled Designed to Disappear, plus the addition of vocalist Jason Sherman (Torrential Downpour) to the lineup.

Previously an instrumental group, Sherman's vocals run a wide range of styles over the 8-song album, which will be issued by Silent Pendulum Records.

The band's last full-length was Secret Snakes/Silent Serpent in 2015. Watch a video for "Slay Rider" here. Bassist DJ Scully also plays in The Number Twelve Looks Like You and Black Table.
