The Damned have begun work on a new album set for release in 2018 on label Search & Destroy. The long-running band also announced a line-up change. Bassist Stu West is no longer a member, replaced by the return of Paul Gray--who played with them in the 1980s on albums including The Black Album and Strawberries.

The new album will be produced by Tony Visconti who has worked with artists including David Bowie, T.Rex, Morrisey, U2, The Stranglers, Iggy Pop and Thin Lizzy.
