Joe Keithley of the long-running Canadian punks D.O.A. has announced his candidacy for the British Columbia legislature on the New Democratic Party ticket. D.O.A. released We Come in Peace early this year and has a 20-date Canadian tour scheduled, which they are billing as "likely...the last dates for four to eight years."
