Paria To Go On Indefinite Hiatus

Posted by Jon E. on May 25, 2010

Paria have announced that they will be going on an indefinite hiatus following their June 05th show at the Slowdown in Omaha, Nebraska. The group issued the following statement on the matter:

“The times they are a-changin’. And with the times we must change. After nine years, incomprehensible experiences, opportunities here and gone, and countless friendships that are sure to endure, we regretfully and joyfully announce that, as it seems now, June 5, 2010 will be our last show for an indefinite period of time. Regretfully, we announce this because of the life changing experiences Paria has provided for each of us involved and the creative outlet it has been. Joyfully, we announce this because of the tremendous opportunities presented before us. Opportunities that include school, new cities, family, and new challenges to conquer.

With that being said, we don’t believe Paria will ever be a finished experiment, but for now other priorities have taken precedence and deserve our attention. Our thanks cannot be over exaggerated to those who have supported us throughout the years, the friendships we have developed, and the opportunities given to us to play music throughout the country. Celebrate the end of an era and beginning of another with us on June 5, 2010 at The Slowdown.

Stay weird,

- p a r i a”
