Jesu Update / Other JK Broadrick Updates

Posted by Michael on September 2, 2006

Justin Broadrick recently provided a huge update on all things concerning himself via his blog. There is a lot going on, so take the time to thoroughly read this update. First up, the new Jesu full-length, Conqueror, is currently about to enter the mastering stage. The release will feature eight songs and be released in early 2007 on Hydra Head Records. Tours of the United States as well as tours of Japan and Europe are being planned in conjunction with its release. Aurora Borealis Records will be releasing a limited edition 12" featuring two new experimental Jesu compositions entitled "Sun Down" and "Sun Rise." A release date has not yet been set. Hydra Head Records and Temporary Residence Limited will be issuing a limited edition split 12" between Jesu and Eluvium. A release date is up in the air. Broadrick has begun work on remixes for N.I.C (featuring Ted Parsons) and Explosions in the Sky. He has formed a new project dubbed, Grey Machine, with a debut album for that already in the works. He will also be joining Sunn0))) as a member of the band for their October U.K and Ireland tours. Finally, Broadrick has his hands in the mixing and producing of two upcoming DVD efforts. The first is a live performance by Pelican in London from December 2005. It will see a release on both DVD and limited double vinyl. The second release is a one-off performance by Isis of Oceanic in its entirety performed in London as part of the ATP Festival in July 2006. No labels or release dates for either of these have been set as of yet.
