How Do You Pronounce Xiu Xiu?

Posted by Zed on January 13, 2005

Xiu Xiu is working on their next record right now that will be done by February and released in August. The tentative title is "La Foret," which in French means "The Forest." The cover art will be done by Miya Osaki (helps run Plea For Peace/Asian Man Records) and Rob Frisk (runs 5RC). Hint at possible split label release? The song titles are as follows: "Black Phoebe", "Bog People", "ALE", "Dangerous You Shouldn't Be Here", "Saturn", "Pox", "Rose Of Sharon", "Muppet Face", "Mousy Toy", "Yellow Rasberry", "The European Version Will Have The Bonus Track" (that might not be a song title) and "Clover". Xiu Xiu hopes to have 1-3 videos on it. Xiu Xiu will be doing a full US tour in March. The other band Jamie Stewart is in, 7 Year Rabbit Cycle, will be doing a western states tour in February.
