In other CRAZY Metallica news, the band decided not to let the slight problem of their drummer's non-presence hold them back from playing at a UK festival ironically named 'Download' last weekend. The irrepressible Lars Alrich suffered a "medical emergency" on the plane and an emergency landing in Germany so he could be sent to hospital took place. Instead of cancelling their performance, the rest of the band spent hours rehearsing their songs with drummers from other bands, and put on a one-off show playing a fan's wet dream of a setlist with a range of drummers including Dave Lombardo from Slayer, Joey Jordison from Slipknot, and Flemming, Lars' drum tech.
