BARREN EARTH TO HEAD OVERSEAS FOR DEBUT US TOUR

The past year has been a massive success for Finland’s emerging prog/death metal supergroup, Barren Earth.  What started out as a mere side project featuring members of Moonsorrow, Swallow The Sun, Kreator, and more, has resulted in the release of an EP, ‘Our Twilight’, a critically acclaimed full-length, Curse of the Red River, and numerous European shows and festivals.  Now Barren Earth is set to bring their brand of forward thinking, keyboard soaked metal to North America for their debut US tour, alongside fellow countrymen Finntroll, Ensiferum and Rotten Sound, as part of “The Finnish Metal Tour 2”, set to take place throughout February 2011.             “To be a part of an exciting package of quality Finnish metal (and accomplished beer hounds) in the 'The Finnish Metal Tour 2' lineup is certainly a fortunate opportunity for us to embark on our first international tour as Barren Earth,” states guitarist, Janne Perttilä.  “We're eagerly looking forward to spreading the Curse Of The Red River for our overseas friends, old and new!”
