You've seen some recent news about live Dillinger Escape Plans in 2024. While that's exciting news, it's not all the members of the influential band have been up to. On April 5, Alkemy Coffee Co. in Flemington, NJ will celebrate its grand opening, a coffeehouse co-owned by DEP's Ben Weinman. The Cro-Mags will play the grand opening weekend on April 7, wrapping up a weekend of festivities.
Weinman fills in the story with a personal touch:
A few months ago, neither Valentina nor I had any idea we would ever be opening a coffee shop, or any shop for that matter. But when the spot where we met years ago suddenly became available for rent, it just felt right. After years traveling to every corner of this earth playing music, and drinking coffee, Flemington NJ is where I chose to live and raise a family. Having this platform to contribute our passions to the already existing culture on Stangl Road is an unbelievable opportunity for which we feel super grateful.
