Rye Coalition subject of documentary

Defunct New Jersey band Rye Coalition are the subject of new documentary, Rye Coalition: The Story of the Hard Luck 5 which premieres on May 30 at the New Jersey Film Festival.

The band released their first demo in 1994, signed to Dreamworks Records in 2002, and subsequently broke up. The film, directed by Jenni Matz, includes interviews with Steve Albini (Shellac), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Tim Green (Nation of Ulysses), Jon Theodore (Mars Volta), and more.
