Dick Lucas (Subhumans UK)

SPB: How involved were you in the box set project?

Lucas: Most of my involvement was with going back through my old diaries to see if what I'd written when we were recording the albums made any sort of readable outline of what happened in the studio, and when I “tested” some entries on Daryl from Cock Sparrer [who did the art layout for the box and booklet], he said it was a great way to relay the studio experience, as it was written at the time, not with the blurred vision of hindsight -- and a good read too, apparently!

I also supplied a lot of photos and posters and originals of lyrics for the booklet. But Daryl and the Pirates Press crew did the majority of the work, not just artwork but coordinating getting the master tapes remastered and so on.

Tommy Colliton (Curse Words) SPB: What is the most tiresome stereotype about punk rock?
