Gabriele (Deaf Lingo-bass)

SPB: What is your favorite album cover of all time?

Gabriele: Maybe there's already a lot of talk about it, but this is one of the best examples of record covers that complement the music.

You might not even listen to it, but you already know what to expect.

The first big visual impact from that saturated violet, so bright and ethereal, it stuns you.

The grainy and blurry photograph of a Jazzmaster, of which you can perceive the obsessive and hypnotic strumming.

This aesthetic can already bring you in a dreamy universe that represents so well the magic of the record, a wall of sound made of feedbacks, distortions, samples, whispered voices and trembling chords.

It's like the music can't help but to be connected with this image, and probably vice versa.

The record is Loveless by My Bloody Valentine.
