Miski Dee (City Mouse)

SPB: What is the most irritating thing that reviewers say about your band or that you overhear in the crowd?

Miski Dee: I think the most annoying thing is hearing us being compared to another band just because there is another female in it when the band has absolutely nothing in common with us musically.

Music / Fest 20 • August 5, 2022

It’s hard to believe that The Fest is in its 20th iteration. The festival always had ambition, but it’s a real testament to still be going 20+ years later. And not just because of pandemic challenges, but because punk bands tend to come and go. It would be impossible to … Read more

Get Right
It's Alive (2017)

Jay (yokedevils) SPB: What brought you back after a hiatus from making music? Jay: I never really stopped making music. Over the years I’ve been stockpiling everything from small riffs and weird scale runs to “feedback ideas” and full songs. I just haven’t been doing so publicly or with a … Read more

Josh (Flutter) SPB: Where did you learn to drive and what kind of car was it? Josh: My first car was a 1997 Ford Taurus, mint green with matching mint green seats. I learned to drive in the rolling countryside outside of Dubuque, Iowa, where a year later I would … Read more

Christine Atturio (Little Low) SPB: What is your favorite Disney soundtrack? Atturio: Aladdin, hands down. Robin Williams singing "Friend Like Me" is fire! The soundtrack as a whole goes from hopeful to scary to funny and back again, sometimes even sounding like the music from Indiana Jones when he's exploring … Read more
