Think Fast! Records (Larry Scott)

What are your top five albums that were released in 2008?

  1. Rise Against - Appeal to Reason
  2. D.E.A. - Good Guys
  3. No Harm Done - Escape
  4. Grave Maker - Bury Me at Sea
  5. Wait In Vain - Seasons

What band did you discover in 2008 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?

I heard a band called Residentes from Guatemala that I'm really into. They have a great animal rights song called "Veg." Check out this band. They are significant because there are hardcore bands and kids on the rise in Central and South America that get overlooked at times. However, their sincerity and love for hardcore/punk is refreshing especially when a lot of kids in this country take for granted the opportunity we have to see our favorite bands all of the time.

How will you remember 2008? (In terms of music)

The return of Earth Crisis.

Vinyl record sales saw a significant increase this year while hard copy sales continued to dwindle. Is this a return to the glory days for vinyl or just a phase? Explain.

It's the beginning of the glory days of digital downloads?ugh!

What was the most memorable moment for you in 2008? (Can be in terms of anything)

Sick of it All / Madball in Miami and Earth Crisis in Orlando.

What can we look forward to from you in 2009?

Think Fast! Records has been mapping out the New Year with new releases from bands like Blackened and Hour Of The Wolf. We will continue to do our best in putting out some of the best and our favorite bands around.

What three records are you looking forward to most in 2009?

Blackened - This Means Wars, Outbreak, and Earth Crisis
