Sacramento sister duo, Dog Party, have released the video for their second single "Last Nite". The single is from their upcoming seventh studio album, Dangerous, which is due for release on May 17th via Sneak Dog Records.
The rock n roll outfit have dubbed their upcoming album a "love letter to Joey Ramone" especially when talking about "Last Nite". Sisters Lucy (vocals/drums) and Gwendolyn Giles (vocals/guitar) say that "tracks like "Last Nite" really highlight that nostalgic 60s girl group sound that Joey was really sweet on." Lucy goes on to say "I am also a huge fan of 60s pop and listened to it almost exclusively whist writing for Dangerous. Simplicity and sincerity are two key components to songs of the era that I tried channeling for "Last Nite."
"Last Nite" showcases Dog Party at the top of their game with a sonic power tapping into the 60s style wall of sound, topped off with confident vocal delivery, fuzzy guitar riffs and lyrics about confused love.
